25 secrets

8 August 2013

I cannot stomach coffee since I found out I was pregnant.

I used to religiously drink a cup of coffee every morning and I still miss it.

Don't give me a glass of warm water or juice - it has to be ice cold.

That's why we have two fridges because I have bottles and bottles of cold squash already made up.

I am slowly beginning to come to the realisation that we are having a baby...

...Nope - it still doesn't seem real.

I adore my cats, Lucy and Tom and get worried when they don't come back in the house after a few hours.

I worry a lot.

I am terrible with money.

It's my mom's fault (love you mom!!).

But I am getting better at it thanks to the husband.

I love watching TV - it's how I relax.

And I am not ashamed to admit that.

My favourites: Friends, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Law and Order.

I take my jewellery off when I get home from work.

I have never been able to sleep with my engagement/wedding rings on.

Because of this, there are a few days where I forget to put them on.

And then I feel like I have to tell strangers that I am married.

If we had the money and the opportunity we would move to Australia.

...or back to South Africa.

But for now we are in England and we are going to enjoy it.

I struggle to go a day without having something chocolate related.

2013 has been my best year to date.

I have been sober for over a year, we got pregnant and I will become a graduate.

Now that' something I am proud of.

Inspired by Elise.

  1. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this post and what amazing achievements!! It took me some time to get used to being pregnant too. I think we would love to move to oz too but would also love to move back to SA. Are you oriniginally from there then?? Great post and I'm just the same with chocolate. These days it has to be 70+% so it's dairy free but that's ok. Xoxo

    2. How lovely to hear. I love the Cape. I was born in Johannesburg, but spent the last ten years in the Cape before I came to the UK. I absolutely love the Cape. Where about did you live?

  2. I am the same with coffee. It was one of the indicators to me both times that I was pregnant. How do you not lose your rings though?!
